I know there is special pruning needed for it to maintain its small size, but it seems as though the shape has already been trained.
Yes. I wish I had paid more attention to what it was called here. I don't know if you'll find anything by 'bonzai' or not.
I do know it is important that the tree not outgrow the roots.

I'm not worried. Merely sharing what I know.
[Vash's tree, on the other hand, she is not so certain about...]
I will be curious to see how you place it among the others.

[This time she doesn't even blink at the use of the word 'family'.]
Yes. It is overdue.
Yes. It is overdue.
You don't need to. I just like doing nice things for you.
Alright. Perhaps Sunday? I work some evenings, as does Vash but Sunday is my day off.
[Who's a work-a-holic? Tomoe? Never...]
[Who's a work-a-holic? Tomoe? Never...]
I don't know if I'd save ALL day. I also spent part of the day eating some! [And a second day of baking all day!]
[Funny, that thought about who is allowed to hurt Legato. Despite it being created from Legato's own flaws, the inky black creature currently assaulting him is shaped more like his master than anything else, or perhaps like the Plant's brother. Its hair hangs long past its shoulders and its teeth and claws are wickedly sharp, but something about the angles of its features distinctly resemble the brothers'.
Knives doesn't need to search far in order to find them. The sounds are easy to follow to the dining room, where the creature has its prey cornered and bent over the table from behind. Its fingers are gripped tight in Legato's hair, weight leaning forward to keep the side of his face shoved down hard against the table, while the other hand digs claws into his hip to hold him still as it vents its frustration into him.
Legato might be an immensely powerful foe against many beings, but he is powerless here. By the way his arms seem to be wrenched behind his back under their own power, he's pinned like one of his own victims while he suffers much like he had years ago, when Knives had first found him.]

[Just as Legato doesn't need his eyes in order to track the impossibly quick movements that the Plants are capable of, neither does his shadow. When Knives flashes across the room, the creature doesn't seem surprised at all to find itself suddenly grabbed without warning. Its face remains set in a horrible, sharp-toothed grin as it begins to be dragged back away from its prey, leaving gouges along Legato's side with its claws.
In the wake of having his attacker violently raked away from him, Legato can't help a cry of pain and fear, and he struggles against the invisible hold gripping his limbs to try and see behind him.]
Master! Stay away from it-- [It's all the warning he's able to call out before his arms wrench back to the point of agony again... and the same influence tries to dig into Knives' limbs as well to peel his grip off of the shadow creature.]

A couple. Don't worry! I saved the best for you! [It was a lot more than a couple.]
I think it would be worth it! And maybe by then you'll have some friends you'll want to bake for too!
