[At first Vash misses the look in his brother's eyes. Too enraptured by what he was doing. Shocked by how... nice this actually felt. That burning heat, the maddening rush, and throbbing pain that he had grown accustomed to how his abilities worked was completely gone and replaced with a warm, tingling, and intoxicating feeling instead. What a difference it made when he simply let go and resonated with his power rather than fight against it. It this what Knives felt? Is this why he had such a hard time talking his brother from using their natural abilities.
For the first time in a very long time Vash feels like he might understand his brother that little bit more.
The flow of energy becomes a bit more confident by the minute. Now Vash can see the flowers perking up thanks to his touch.] Whoa... [Vash the Stampede is currently at a loss for words.]
It-- it is. [He's almost reluctant when it comes time to pull back his energy. The new flowers clearly having enough energy now to thrive but it felt so good it was hard to want to stop.] I always knew our power could be used to help, but I hadn't realized how good it would feel.
[Vash feels a bit bad. He didn't mean to make this into something that might upset his brother. Not on their birthday.] Yeah, well... [He trails off for a moment. There was no way he could deny that Knives was a major reason why he was so nervous about using his own abilities.] ...you're helping to fix that now, right? That's the important thing now.
[Knives feels guilty on his own without knowing that his guilt makes Vash feel guilty. For now, he also wants to focus on positives. They've already fought once today.]
I do like doing this on my own terms. [He admits with a laugh. Rubbing at the back of his head.] I might have to start doing this with my plants at home too.
We should do this again sometime. [He's surprised by his own eagerness.] So long as it doesn't weaken you too much. I don't want to do anything that might hurt you.
[Vash considers that for a moment. Not fully understanding exactly what his brother is saying.] I don't feel any weaker. [He tilts down to show off the back of his head.] Do you see any more black hairs? I don't think there should be any.
Alright, I won't. [He laughs a little bit in embarrassment because they both know that he wouldn't' use his powers for just anything.] Happy birthday, brother.
