Yeah? Do I? [Vash rubs his hand against his brother's inner thigh. Purposely radiating out his power to ticket at the skin under the clothing.] Are you trying to tell me that you don't like it?

You know for a fact that isn't true.

[A playful expression crosses Vash face before he smirks. A hint of danger dancing behind that grin.] Or are you saying that because I'm getting a bit too cocky? Do you need to teach me a lesson?

Is that something I do often? [He can't help but be curious about the relationship the other version of himself has with this Vash.]

Do you like to be disciplined?

No, not very often. [Vash shakes his as he answers.] For one you don't really need to. It's more for a bit of fun and a laugh.

[When asked if he likes it Vash's ears start turning red. It was weird saying it out loud to someone even if it was someone with his twin's face.] When it's fun I do and only with you. Because I'm safe with my brother and it's not like anyone else on the planet could seriously overpower me so it's pointless with anyone else.

I can't seriously overpower you either. [Knives points out.]

And I don't think I'd be comfortable doing any of that kind of stuff with you... It's too much like...

Well, all of the terrible things I've done to you. It would be better if you were the one punishing me.

No, in your current state I doubt you could [Blunt. This Vash isn't as use to sugar coating things. At least not when it came to a Plant's health and safety.]

And you're probably right. After what you've told me you've done to your twin? Probably best not to play that game. At least not until we've gotten to know each other a lot better. [Vash almost sounds disappointed. He had to remember that although the faces are the same that this was not the brother he was use to.]

If you really wanted me to take you a bit more forcefully in the future I am more than happy to do that for you, but it wouldn't be to punish you. [Once again Vash runs his hand through his brother's dark hair once again. Face full of love and pity.] Because it sounds like you're punishing yourself enough.

[Knives finds himself leaning into that touch, not willing to let shame stop him from enjoying the comfort that Vash is offering.]

I doubt that. I don't think there is 'enough.'

[Softly laughing Vash slowly shakes his head.] Even a different version of you and you're still so hard on yourself. Too hard. You have got to remember that no one is perfect. Not even us. We're allowed to make mistakes too.

My dear brother, I doubt that my life can be excused as a simple 'mistake.'

[goldenglasses]

That's because your life and what you are as a whole is too beautiful to be a mistake.

[He sighs and then turns to focus on Vash.]

You are too perfect. It's starting to become unnerving.

[goldenglasses]

[Vash pouts as if he's just been told there will be no donuts for dinner.] Me? Unnerving? No way!

It's like someone plucked you from my most hidden fantasies. If it weren't for other people talking about their friends being replaced with doubles now, I'd assume that's what this was.

[goldenglasses]

[With a shrug Vash laughs what Knives says away.] I'll take that as a compliment then.

I'm not sure I meant it as one. More a statement of fact. Everything you say to me makes my heart feel like it's breaking in two.

I don't mean to hurt you, but I think you should know I'm not very good at being quiet. What can I do to no longer break your heart?

That's not for you to decide. [He moves towards the fridge. Rummaging around until he finds a beer.] Pretty sure that's my choice.

You know, I trapped that other you into a contract in a desperate desire to keep him close.

[This Vash raises an eyebrow.] What kind of contract?

[arkfall]

The submissive/Dominant contract in the city. He is legally my submissive in this world. He only agreed to it because he thought it would stop me from killing people, but I've no desire to kill anymore.

It sounds like you're protecting him from signing up with someone terrible. There is no one else in this city who should be contracting with him.

Yes. You think that because you love your siblings more than humans. You know that we are the only things that really matter. You believe all of the things I have wished for so many years that my brother would come to understand. You are everything I want Vash to be.

I could spend centuries with you and still never fully understand the depth of my love and adoration for you.

[Admitting all of this aloud feels like he's tearing himself open again, but he needs to say it before this ends.]

I am so jealous of your brother because I want everything he's built with you. I can't trust that this is the way things will be now because it feels too perfect and I feel too much like an intruder.

I spend every moment terrified that one day I'm going to wake up and you'll be gone and the man I tortured will be back. I'll hate myself for wishing he was you.

[Vash listens quietly. Pulling the tab on his beer and taking a couple sips. Walking over to sit next to Knives as he finishes. He doesn't answer right away as he thinks over what he's just been told.] If you were told that to keep me your Vash would die. Would you still keep me over him?

No wrong answer. Mostly curious. So tell me what your gut choice would be.
