[One day out of the blue Knives will be getting a call from his brother. He sounds vaguely annoyed.]

Kniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiives, I'm trying to buy a couple movies, but the check out person won't accept my money until they talk to you first and get your permission. Apparently written permission isn't good enough for this place and I'm already running late to meet someone so I don't really want to try to find and go to another store! I don't even know off the top of my head where another store is and who knows? Maybe they'll do the same thing!

[Did Knives need all that information? Sure didn't but he's getting it as Vash is annoyed.]

[Knives sighs deeply, also annoyed.]

Do I need to go there or will they accept me simply speaking to her like this?

[There is a brief pause as Vash talks to someone in the shops with him.] They said just talking to you will be enough! Here!

[A bored voice clearly belonging to a teenager comes over the phone. They speak in a well practiced, nearly robotic sort of way.] Dear sir or madam; this call is being recorded for confirmation of the permissions you are giving to your submissive. If you do not wish for this call to be recorded then you will need to show up in person for your submissive to purchase anything from our store.

[There is a brief beep as the recording starts. They're suppose to wait for confirmation but with a long suffering sigh they continue their scripting.]

Are you aware that your submissive is attempting to make a purchase of two dvds for the price of twenty eight dollars and sixty nine cents? [A brief pause for Knives to answer.] Do you wish to know the title and/or plot to the movies that they are purchasing? [A brief pause for Knives to answer.] Do you give permission for me to sell these movies to your submissive? [A brief pause for Knives to answer.] Can you please state your and your submissive's full name for the recording and confirmation that you've understood and grant permission for me to sell these movies to your submissive?

[Knives gets more irritated the longer this goes, but he answers each question with curt single-word answers.

Then the shop employee asks for their names and he grips the phone a little too tightly before telling her.]

Will this take much longer? [He asks, tone obliviously impatient.]

No, that is it sir. Unless you have any further questions? Shall I put your submissive back on now?

I have no questions.

[He waits for Vash to be back on the phone.] Better now?

Much! Thanks brother! I'll see you tomorrow for dinner?

Tomoe will be joining us.

Oh yeah? [He knows he shouldn't mind this, but it makes him nervous anyway.] That will be nice. Always fun to have more people over.

She and I have been talking a lot lately.

[Of course you have now that she's a Plant.] That's nice. I'm glad you two are getting along.

[He wouldn't even deny that] As am I. She's another good influence, don't you think?

[He can't hold back this time.] I just wish she could have been a good influence when she was human.
