Taking a deep breath he forces himself to look Knives in the eyes again.] I'm sorry, but I have to ask; was the delay in contracting with me again really because of Legato? [Vash's eyes are sharp. Looking for any twitch or indication that whatever answer he's about to get could be a lie.]

Because I needed to speak with him before I would do that, and I couldn't speak with him while he was sleeping.

[Knives's brow raises at that. How exactly does his brother know that?]

[Vash's mouth forms a hard line as he keeps a strong grip of his emotions now. Not wanting Knives to feel that small bit of hope rising in him. Maybe it is just talk?]

Have you been hurting people? To get him off?

[He rolls his eyes at the implication.

He and Legato had killed people for hurting Vash. The fact that they had both gotten off on it was just a bonus.]

Other than what's being shared on the network? No. And then, probably not even that much. I don't really spend a lot of time on there.

[Vash takes a deep breath before letting it out slowly. Feeling a little better after talking about this in front of his brother. At least he hadn't gotten overly angrily at this line of questioning.]

He should find something else to excite him. Talking about hurting people isn't going to help either of you.

Isn't it better to allow for fantasy rather than let those desires boil over?
